Finding my feet

They are at the ends of my legs, I know. On 13th September 2014 I went to an amazing conference. Terrific brave speakers. A community of survivors of child and adult sexual abuse and domestic violence. Many things were said, video-taped – and emblazoned in people’s minds.

From this I hope good things will grow – like a kernel of Truth – that elusive essential that we are all seeking.

Some powerful people do things in their name not our name. We don’t want the things they do.

We live in a country where establishment power politics is seen as more important than  the safety of children. Where, seemingly, national security requires children to be abused to be effective in saving the nation. Is this a country we can be proud of?

…or are we strangers in a strange land?
